The first thing you need to do is find a
Chapter close to your house (hopefully this will be R.L.Wilbourn
Chapter). Go to the link "How Do I Join"
under the "What is DeMolay"
heading. Find the closest chapter from that link. Then download a
petitions from the other link. You and your parents need to fill
this out. Then contact the Chapter to arrange a meeting with the
Chapter Dad.

There is a one time fee of $100.00 that
covers a LIFE MEMBERSHIP to DeMolay International. You pay no
yearly dues. There is no addition charge for the Degrees, Awards
or Equipment. If you have trouble getting the $100.00 then you
and your parent can work out a payment plan with the secretary.
We know how tight money is these days and we don't want to keep
any boy out of DeMolay becouse he doesn't have the money now.
Any Boy 12 through 21 years. Check with us
a month before your 12th birthday.
That live in the Houston Area. Other Chapters will welcome you if
you live else where.
That are Good Citizens. No over throwing Governments, and
believe in a Higher Power. GOD, Buda, or what ever you call him
is OK with us!
Then you are eligible to join R. L. Wilbourn DeMolay.
There are two main Degrees in DeMolay. The
first is the Ignition Degree.
This is where you are made a DeMolay. You are instructed in the
ritual, taught the rules of the Chapter and welcomed as a brother
in the largest International Boys Masonic Organization on the
planet.
The second is the DeMolay Degree
here you learn about the life & death of our name sake
Jacques DeMolay. Through this Degree you learn about trial of
Jacques DeMolay and his assistants after his capture of the
Knights Templer on Friday the 13th.
Our regular STATED
(scheduled) meetings are on the 1st Thursday and 3rd Wednesday of
each month. If this day falls on a holiday such as Thanksgiving
then the meeting will be re-scheduled as a CALLED
meeting were you can spend with your family. Other Called
meetings can be scheduled as needed for things like Fund Raiser,
Fun Days, Masonic Observances, ETC.
The Chapter is partly supported by Melrose
Masonic Lodge and Melrose Eastern Star.
Donations from the community and members families and
friends cover part of the cost of running the Chapter.
The largest portion is covered by FUND RAISERS that the boys hold
throughout the year.
